Sedona Sessions Pt 3

Being in Sedona for a month, we more or less were accepted as locals. We couldnt go out without running into people we knew. The store, out to eat, riding the trails... We hit up taco tuesday at the Javalina weekly. The first week we ran into a few folks we knew, but the last tuesday we were in town, the place was packed with friends. The folks at the Bike and Bean were great to us and the Friday shop ride had quite the after party. Here are a few more images to get you through this soggy friday.

Sedona Sessions Pt 2

It was hard to step away from the group long enough to take an objective look at all that was going on over the course of the month. A routine had taken over: wake up, throw some calories in the tank before heading out to ride all day, replenish the energy with dinner, then an evening of hanging out and heavy snacking. The month was a great lesson in living in the moment. The return home is proving somewhat difficult in getting things done. Simple things that are time sensitive such as paying the bills, staying on schedule at work, and doing the everyday things such as stocking the fridge. Here is another batch of images I have had a chance to sort through.

Welcome to Chewy's playground...

Regroup and reflect...

A moment in time on Tomahawk: Tex rolls in, Potts rounds the bend and others scope out lines...

Collin on Sketch...

I bruised my ribs the day before heading out to the Dells which proved to be a total boner softner, but the endless lines and traction was enough to awaken the gristle once again...

Sue edges along Highline...

Andrew: Host, guide, and single speed slayer...

Adam Craig rolling in on Killa Bee. Yep thats a power meter on board...

Hooray for riding bikes with friends...

Sedona Sessions Pt1

I am sure many of you have long since forgotten about me as I have been less than attentive to the old electronic diary. Its not that life has been so boring that there has been nothing to report. Actually, it has been quite the opposite. Some of you know that I had spent a month out in Sedona, with nothing else to do but ride bikes, take pictures and soak in the sunshine. Here is a taste of what the past month looked like.

Four of us piled into Tim's Sprinter and began the 30 hour drive, only turning the van off once the entire time. We all took shifts at the wheel as well as trading off who got to use Ruby as a body pillow. Somewhere in New Mexico, Collin's phone rang. It was Nick Pence from the Harrisonburg who had just spotted the van as he traveled eastbound on I-40 returning from his own vacation. We arrived in Flagstaff in the afternoon and our hosts Andrew and Gretchen invited us along for a friends engagement party. Bowling, bikes, and a stop at a western bar called the Museum Club rounded out the night in Big Lebowski fashion and set the tone for the rest of the trip. Here is the first batch of photos...
