Putting the F U in Fun

In recent weeks, I have been pretty much just doing my own thing as far as riding goes. I guess I have been somewhat non-commital which seems to be going around in the riding circles as of late. I hadnt ridden with Tim much since leaving Sedona so when he threw out the idea of playing in Fort Valley, I couldnt resist the temptation. It would be a gruelling 4 miles section of trail known as "Jawbone," for its jagged appearance. I had ridden this section of trail 3 times heading Northbound during my attempts on the Ring, but never tried it Southbound until yesterday. Chock full of chunck and steep punches, this trail is enough to blow up the strongest of arms, and frustrate the most patient of temperments. Even the "sidewalk" sections are rough and one needs to settle in, relax, not fight the bike. "Relax-iclyling," is the name of the game. These days I am switching between two packs and forgot to check to make sure I had what I needed onboard on pinch flatted a tire. I tried my glue trick, but  the Stans juice in the tire had all but dried up, so I couldnt make it seal, which means I had to put one of those archaic items called an "inner tube" in, borrow a pump and give myself some penalty PSIs making the trail even rougher. such is life. Anywho, I have been practicing with the new toy a bit and here is what I came up with this week...

There were some steep punches before getting on the ridge...

Preston ramps up through the gnar...

Spidey's Wormhole...
